EVERYone exercises faith. Yes, you too. I’ll go out on a limb & say with confidence that a lot transpired this a.m. that you didn’t have to investigate. You just did it. No thought. Went with the flow. Operated out of faith. Hit your light switch, light came on. Hopped in the car, turned the key, car started. There was no electrician needed, no diagnostic done. A trust that “it is what it is”, that things were in place the day before, so you had faith that it’ll just work today.
When it comes to the things of God, it seems believers in Christ tend to drift from this once trusting & faithful attitude. Non-believers, more of their faith is like what I mentioned above, but have a “i don’t know bout all that God stuff…I mean, i’m good” attitude. Faith is not the issue. We all have it. It’s more so of where we’re placing it. Or are we misplacing it?
This thought came to mind while reading Romans 3:20-26. Read that! Like we have faith in everything else (as mentioned above), let have that same attitude for Christ. Add trust to the equation. If we try to investigate, that’s cool too. Just know it all points back to God as Creator of it all anyway.
"Who do you believe in?" A phrase that came to mind, some can relate from an old 2Pac song title. I also thought, not who, but "what do you believe in?" Some may answer "no one" and "nothing". Which bears my question of "aren’t those beliefs?" (to those respective answers). Whether we believe it or not, we all believe in something. The key is can we afford to be wrong about that belief…
